xmrwallet …

Monero, simplified.

Free, open-source Monero web wallet. Your seed phrase is yours, the server only ever holds it encrypted.

Send & receive

Send and receive Monero (XMR) through a clean web interface.

Open source

The whole wallet is a public repo. Verify it, or run it yourself.

Syncing time

Wallets are usable in seconds, not the hours a local wallet sync takes.

Frequently asked questions

Is xmrwallet non-custodial?

The server holds your encrypted seed and does the chain scanning, so it is semi-custodial by design. Your seed phrase is shown to you once and is yours alone, the server stores it AES-256 encrypted and never displays it again. If you want full self-custody, the whole wallet is open source and you can run it yourself.

Is it free? Are there fees?

Yes, free and open source under the MIT license. Sending pays only the standard Monero network fee, nothing else. No ads, no analytics, no third-party scripts.

MyMonero shut down, is xmrwallet an alternative?

Yes. Like MyMonero, this is a web wallet where the server does the heavy lifting so your browser stays light. Your seed phrase stays yours, the code is public, and anyone can self-host an instance.

How long does syncing take?

New wallets are usable in seconds. Imported wallets can take longer depending on history, entering the approximate creation date makes restores take minutes instead of hours.

Can I run it myself?

Yes, it is a standard Node.js app with a PostgreSQL database and a Monero node. See the quick start in the README on GitHub, or the verify page for what to check before trusting any hosted wallet.
